Ballerina, officially titled From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, brought Ana de Armas into the popular action franchise as a new lead character seeking revenge. Released in June 2025, the film is set within the same secretive assassin underworld established across the John Wick series.
The spin-off extends the franchise's signature style of tightly choreographed action and richly designed criminal institutions, while building out its mythology beyond the original character.
As the series broadens into spin-offs and related projects, Ballerina represented an effort to prove the John Wick universe could sustain stories led by new protagonists.
