F1, directed by Joseph Kosinski, brought the world of Formula 1 racing to the big screen in 2025 with Brad Pitt in the lead role as a veteran driver returning to the sport. Kosinski, who previously directed Top Gun: Maverick, again emphasized immersive, high-speed photography captured in real racing environments.
The production worked closely with the world of professional motorsport, filming during actual Grand Prix weekends to lend the racing sequences authenticity. The result was designed to place audiences directly inside the cockpit for a visceral sense of speed.
